Teodora Jovanović (Belgrade, 1993) graduated from the Department of Ethnology and Anthropology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, in 2016. In 2017 Teodora Jovanović defended her M.A. thesis entitled Attracting Money: Materialism, Money and Feng Shui in Post-Socialist Capitalism in 2017. .In the same year, she enrolled in doctoral studies in ethnology and anthropology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. Her main research interests are refugee studies and forced migrations from the Middle East, in particular Iranian asylum seekers in Serbia. She has been employed since 2018 at the Ethnographic Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts as a collaborator on the project Multi-ethnicity, Multiculturalism, Migration: Contemporary Processes by the Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Development. . For two years she has volunteered and worked in Refugee Aid Miksalište, an assistance center for refugees, migrants and asylum seekers in Belgrade.
